Ambiguity
Every day so many choices are presented to us, so many events happen in our lives, and our singular lifespan feels the lightest thread through each choice, event, reaction, that objectively, if we provide no explanation, it could appear to an outsider we are making ambiguous choices and doing things randomly, living only reactively.
This is to say, we each have reasons for what we do. Sometimes "I don't know why" is the reason we offer. But dig deep or wide enough, and there will be causes that make those choices and take those actions, without thought, and only later, maybe, with regret. We do what we do, and sometimes the simplest answer for it is the correct one, even if we don't want to face it.
You showed up
Not here, but there
Where I needed you to
Right where I wanted
And without giving, gave
Release, a smile, hope, joy
Without touching, a fantasy.
As if the cosmic rays of beauty
Permeated through you
Inside out and back again
Pure bliss you are to me
That breath taken in after a spring rain
When the air is clear and moist
Giving me the air and water I need to live
You.
A piano plays
While the horses neigh
Just outside your window
Joyfully trotting to each note as if they know
They can feel your music as I do
Connected, above the fray, through the mists
Not understanding why or what, but grasping
Living in the moment
While you play
A lot of notes
A lot of paths taken
Led us to this one
Here at a juncture, we choose
How tightly we hold on or we let go
Nicely passing or forever connected
We will go forward, choices not made
Will pass, chosen.
Ambiguity means
That meanings can be interpreted
Different ways
By different people
In different situations of their lives
So, I leave this meaning for you
To define for yourself, since
My choice was made
The moment we connected.
Some moments are too rare and life it too precious to be left,
Ambiguous.
